First Snowmaking Campaign Continues of 65th Winter Season at Snow Trails Mansfield, Ohio

    Updated: 12-2-25 3:33PM » SNOW REPORT
Early December snow is always amazing and builds the excitement for Opening Day! We know you are eager to get on the slopes, and we are right here with you. Opening Day is still to be determined.

Our #STSnowmaking Campaign is running whenever conditions allow, with some around-the-clock like today. However, with temps often hovering around 30°F during many day parts, building a substantial base takes time, and recent heavy natural snow doesn’t add as much as you might expect once it’s packed and groomed. Natural snow that packs well is wet and better suited for building snowmen, rather than building the base across the slopes - albeit we love a good snowman!

Another factor to consider is once we open, we prioritize guest comfort by avoiding snowmaking on open trails whenever we can. Sometimes short snowmaking windows force our hand, but if we have the choice our focus is on Pre-Season snowmaking as opposed to constantly cranking the system while you are on the slopes. Thanks for your patience and support.

Please stay tuned as snowmaking continues, and as always you can track our progress anytime as we build-up the base of snow and excitement for our 65th Winter Season with you!

lucky's Cafeteria

Lucky's is located adjacent to Guest Services in the heart of our main Ski Lodge. Lucky’s offers a variety of grab-and-go food options, from burgers and chicken tenders, to nachos, salad, sodas, energy drinks and more. A favorite is the Daily Special offering a variety of delicious food. This freestyle dining is great to grab something quick and get back out on the slopes.

Located at the base of Vertical Descent Tubing Park, you will find our quaint Tubing Lodge with Snack Bar, restrooms, and seating area with panoramic views of snow tubers sliding-by. Snow Tubing is a modern day version of our toboggan run from back in the 70's.
