January 7, 2010

NEWS FROM SNOW TRAILS
For Immediate Release:  January 7, 2010

Snow Trails 4th Annual Tubing Park Benefit Offers More for Rehab's New Beginning's and Snow Tubers

Mansfield, OH, January 7, 2010: "Will Tube For Food" will be the benefits theme Monday, January 11th through Thursday, January 14th from 5PM- 9:30PM.  Along with a donation of at least one non-perishable food item and the purchase of just one Unlimited Weekday Tubing Ticket for $22, an additional Unlimited Tubing Ticket of the same will be given free and available for use.  The food items will be collected at the Vertical Descent Tubing Park's own ticketing hut at Snow Trails, adjacent to the tubing lanes.

"This is the fourth year running for this fantastic benefit," said Nate Wolleson, Snow Trails Marketing Manager. "We want people to come-out and have a blast while supporting this great cause. We're looking for people to say, "That was the most fun I've had making a difference," Wolleson said. "For the past three years we've held a one day food drive with a great offer of three Two Hour Tubing Tickets for the price of two. This year, in hopes to increase the contributions to The Rehab substantially, we are running the food drive Monday through Thursday, with an amazing offer of buy one Unlimited Weekday Tubing Ticket get one free, for those who choose to donate! This is a special never before offered in our Snow Tubing Park," exclaimed Wolleson.

The Rehab Center of North Central Ohio's New Beginnings Residential Treatment Program will benefit from this event.  Clients of the Program receive group and individual counseling, vocational rehabilitation services, family reintegration services, and are supported in developing an investment in a twelve-step recovery program.  The food donations will help to serve the programs half-way house.  Learn more at www.therehabcenter.org

It is the fourth season for the Snow Trails Vertical Descent Tubing Park. A combined total of close to 300 adult, child, and adult double tubes are provided for guests of the park. Park lanes extend 1,100' in length for a thrilling ride. Adding to the atmosphere is a park-side viewing area complete with picnic tables, benches, and a fire-ring for warming. A 500 foot conveyor carpet lifts riders to the top to choose from up to seven different lanes for descent.

Snow Trails has been serving Ohio since 1961. There are six chairlifts, two conveyor carpets, serving 15 runs, including three terrain parks and a snow tubing park. The Resort boasts being "Ohio's first and finest" based on its reputation of many Midwest firsts, including being Ohio's first ski area and the highest ski slope in Ohio. The ski season runs through March 2010, weather permitting. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield on Possum Run road.
