Glade Skiing Anyone???

Posted on May 26th, 2009

Plans are in the works to open three separate areas for "Glade" Skiing and Snowboarding for the 2009-'10 Season. Stay tuned for locations and entry/exit points in these great locations. Another new and exciting reason to join the Snow Trails family of passholders!

can you describe the layout of the...uumm..."glades"? are they off the back? or cramming more traffic in the current space.

Hey guy, I would like to say that a half pipe is not going to be an addition to Snow*Trails for a long time. First we do not have a pipe dragon to do it... also what you see TV is a super pipe that has 22ft walls and 300ft long... I've been to X-Games for spectating, and that SuperPipe is our whole Alpine hill. A Half Pipe has to be AT LEAST 250ft in length, Second reason is our weather, in order to have a great and successful Super or normal Half Pipe the weather has to be steady, cold,

They have the half pipe already its just small and unmaintained. im guessing because of lack of equipment (maybe the new cats will be able to get the attachments), and just needs to be a little deeper.

My only question is where are they putting this new stuff? If the backside could be built thatd be great and double the size. But the sun melts that side to fast on that side from what i herd.

An idea I had last year I think would be great and help ease the traffic would be buy clear fork and make it into an all mountain park. They shut down and as far as I've herd are just sitting their looking for a buyer and all mountain parks are getting HUGE business right now (ln snowboarder last year they had an issue with the top all mountain parks) and would open up some of snow trails runs. It may also offer a central area for competitions in Ohio. its just right down the road from snow trails. have the season pass open for both places like Brandy wine, Boston mills. I think that would defiantly get alot more attention for snow trails and inevitably more passes.

Love the idea! Any chance of a half pipe in the park? Most popular feature in all of televised snow-sports.
