Snow Trails Re-Opened Slopes Today

Snow Trails Winter Resort re-opened the slopes today, after being the only resort open in Ohio last weekend, with plans to open Timberline slope, “Longest Ski Slope in Ohio,” tomorrow at 9AM.
Mansfield, OH, December 23, 2012: Snow Trails Winter Resort re-opened the slopes today, after being the only resort open in Ohio last weekend. Skiers and Snowboarders welcomed the cold temperatures for Snow Trails Snowmaking to blanket the resort with snow, in just two days, building an 18- 24 inch base on select slopes. Snow Trails plans to open four additional slopes at 9AM tomorrow morning, including the Timberline slope, “Longest Ski Slope in Ohio.” Additional terrain will be available this week and the Vertical Descent Tubing Park at Snow Trails, with “Longest Tubing Lanes in Ohio,” is scheduled to open as early as this coming Saturday at 9AM.

Monday, December 24th 9AM- 5:00PM

Snow Sports Lessons and Children’s Polar Cub and Polar Bear Programs are offered seven days a week, when the resort is open.

Snow Trails, which was the first commercial ski area in Ohio, is a privately owned resort, under the same management since inception. The resort features six chairlifts, including a slow moving Beginner’s Double Chairlift and two new ski carpets dedicated to the Beginner's Area Complex, and a third carpet lift utilized for the Snow Tubing Park. Two new trails were recently added to include Timberline, the “Longest Trail in Ohio,” bringing total trails to 17, plus three terrain parks and glade areas. A 9,000 sq. ft. Rental Center houses user friendly equipment and offers a self service system. The resort typically opens in early December and the season lasts into March.
