Slopes FAQ

Outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding naturally make social distancing easier. When social distancing is not possible face coverings are required on the Slopes. Snow Trails is abiding by all State and County mandates to ensure a safe and full season of winter fun for you.

  • Is Snow Trails doing reservations for pass holders or tickets?
Snow Trails is not requiring reservations for skiing or snowboarding. Tickets may be purchased online for a low touch point experience as well as on-site at our Ticket Windows, Rental Center or Guest Services.
  • Are you limiting people on the slopes?
We are not planning on limiting guests on the hill at this time.
  • Will Lift Lines maintain distancing requirements?
We will create lift lines to support physical distancing. If you traveled together you can ride the lift together. There will be no singles line, so singles will ride on their own, unless wearing a mask. If physical distancing of 6ft cannot be maintained, face coverings are required.
  • Can I ride Chairlifts with others?
Chairlifts should only be ridden with family members or those you are around on a regular basis.
  • Is physical distancing required on the slopes?
Physically distancing from other skiers and snowboarders has always been part of maintaining safety on the slopes each winter. Ski and Snowboard equipment naturally keeps us apart - nobody wants someone to run over their equipment in the lift line anyhow, and certainly not on the slopes.
  • Is there a safety standard for skiing and snowboarding?
The “Responsibility Code” has been a part of Ski Industry safety initiatives for many years.
  • What are you doing to train staff?
Training will be provided to all staff by health care professionals. Snow Trails will require all staff working outside to have face masks on when physical distancing of 6ft cannot be maintained. We will be training staff on self-screening procedures before arrival to work and supporting their on-going education as we adapt to changes.
