Children's Programs FAQ
Outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding naturally make social distancing easier.
When social distancing is not possible face coverings are required for Snow Sports Lessons. Face coverings are required for all indoor facilities. Snow Trails is abiding by all State and County COVID-19 mandates to ensure a safe and full season of winter fun for you.
Will the Children's Program be offered this Season?
Yes, the Program will be offered Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus Peak Days.
I don't see any dates or times to book?
A listing of available dates and times for the Program will be posted in early December and the Program usually kicks off the 2nd Saturday in December weather permitting. See a sample itinerary listed below.
What changes are being made to the Children's Programs this year?
To accommodate physical distancing guidelines the Children's Program will have multiple sessions to best facilitate smaller class sizes. We will also be offering afternoon as well as morning sessions on Peak Days. Additionally, a text based notification system will be implemented to communicate with parents on arrival and check-in times.
What is Snow Trails doing to keep everyone safe this season?
Protecting our sport is a team effort and thankfully skiing is a natural way to distance. Our goal is an on-snow training focus, with reduced class sizes and reduced indoor time in the schedule to accommodate multiple sessions on Peak Days. We have worked with the Richland Public Health Department to develop a plan that is safe for our guests and staff alike, while still keeping the focus on a fun and great learning experience.
What are the most notable ways you are addressing health concerns?
We are limiting class sizes and inside time per session, plus limiting our instructor to student ratio based on mandates. When indoors, personal space separators will be in use. We have a comprehensive cleaning and sanitization plan before, during, and between sessions, as well as at the end of each day. We are asking all guests to practice physical distancing whenever possible both inside facilities like the Children's Learning Center, as well as on the slopes.
Are face coverings required at Snow Trails?
Face coverings are required for all indoor facilities. Snow Trails is abiding by all State and County mandates to ensure a safe and full season of winter fun for you. Staff will be required to have face coverings at all times and we'll be utilizing lanyards to keep the face coverings near the students at all times.
Will you be feeding my child?
A mid-session snack such as pretzels and goldfish will be provided, but students should eat a full breakfast or lunch before arrival so they can be energized for an exciting day. Students should bring a water bottle when possible, but we will also have beverages available for those who do not.
- We have our own equipment, is there a discount?
There is no discount for the program including those who have their own equipment.
