Length of Season: 91 days based on the past five years. (07/08 season- 92 days)
Snow Trails Lodge – Way before skiing entered the picture, there was a farmhouse that stood in the same place as the current lodge. That original building is still part of the lodge today. The Snow Trails slopeside lodge boasts magnificent views of the slopes. This non-intrusive building blends into the surroundings and is well worth a visit. The Snow Trails Lodge is home to a restaurant, cafeteria, two full bars, and spacious deck. The Snow Trails Ski Shop retail store is located conveniently next to the Lodge.

Terrain Park - Snow Trails builds three terrain parks from scratch, each winter that keep jibbers and jumpers happy throughout the ski season, beginning in December and lasting into March. When the other ski areas start to close, Snow Trails steps up to the responsibility of not only keeping terrain park features open, but keeping the park a happening place to be with jib competitions on select Saturday’s late February and early March. Snow Trails terrain park staff is continuously evolving and improving park features. Learn what features are in the terrain parks.

Environment – Snow Trails has made many internal changes to reduce our carbon footprint. We have recently added a geothermal heating and cooling snowmaking system for our new 9,000 square foot Rental Center. This includes radiant heat flooring, a more efficient and eco friendly way to heat a large space. Throughout the entire area, Snow Trails works to be green in every department. From energy efficient bulbs to diesel powered snowcat groomers. Our goal is to continue to make strides in this area.
Community Involvement – Snow Trails is proud to be part of the Ohio community and enjoys helping those who are underprivileged gain access to the mountain. Snow Trails supports:
• TAASC (The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition) with on hill fundraising events.

• School field trips and groups for ages K-12. Physics classes to test the laws of physics in relations to snow sports, snowmaking, and resort operations.
Summer Events – The summer of 2012 introduced a new summer on-hill event at Snow Trails. The Hero Challenge, 5k obstacle course run across resort slopes, offering mud and water features as well as climbing walls, balance beams, and slip and slide, became a new local favorite event.
Snow Trails’ Rossignol Experience Center – New this year, Snow Trails has partnered with the Rossignol Experience series to provide breakthroughs for skiers of all abilities thanks to the Auto Turn Rocker Ski Technology. This new ski technology is available to rent on-site at Snow Trails’ snowsports center. Beginners will benefit from the new technology that allows for friendly easy to turn equipment. Intermediates will love feeling the Experience skis helping them into the turn and advanced/expert skiers will praise the skies for their aggressive pursuit into any terrain. Once the guest is outfitted in this new technology, the Snow Trails qualified instructor group will help teach each student how to get the most out of the new Rossignol Experience.
Snow Business – Snow Trails has an average Annual Snowfall: 52 inches (No worries. Ski areas in the Midwest rely more on snowmaking machines to provide consistent coverage.)
Snowmaking Capacity: 198,000 gallons of water per hour delivered through 2+ miles of 4" to 16" welded steel underground pipe. Capable of covering almost three average slopes (6 acres) with 2" of man-made snow base in 24 hours at full capacity with an average temperature of 25 degrees and less than 65% relative humidity. Pretty amazing, huh?
Here's some other food for thought.
In 12 hours @ 28 degrees F we can cover over 5 acres with 1" of snow
In 12 hours @ 26 degrees F we can cover over 10 acres with 1" of snow
In 12 hours @ 24 degrees F we can cover over 15 acres with 1" of snow
Corporate Partner Program – The Snow Trails Corporate Partner program is for companies, employees, along with friends and family. As a member of this program, businesses have the opportunity to enjoy Snow Trails at an incredibly discounted rate. Perfect for wellness initiatives, the goal of this program is to inspire organizations to be active this winter by enjoying the healthy outdoor sports of Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Tubing at Snow Trails!
Beginners Area Complex – Most user friendly in the region, with friendly Snow Sports Instructors ready to introduce a lifelong passion for winter sports. After exiting Snow Trails Rental Center adjacent to the Complex, beginners will take in a space amazing for learning, thanks to multiple gradual grade slopes and two user friendly conveyor carpet lift rides, plus the slow moving Beginners Double Chairlift dedicated to introducing loading and unloading of a chairlift.
