Snow Trails Opens for Skiing in Ohio

As the first Ski Resort in Ohio to open, Snow Trails will usher in the ski season on December 7th.

Mansfield, OH, December 5, 2007---A start to the winter season will begin Friday, December 7th for Snow Trails.  Opening day hours will be 12:00pm- 9:30pm, continuing through the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday hours 9am-9:30pm.

“With the first notable natural snowfall of the season coming last night and into today” said Snow Trails Marketing Manager, Nate Wolleson, “our opening this Friday couldn’t have come at a better time for the many who are now excited to hit the slopes at Snow Trails.”  Natural snowfall builds excitement, however snowmaking efforts beginning late Tuesday, November 27, 2007 continuing through this week, building the base of snow to make possible for Snow Trails’ slopes to be groomed and ready for opening day.  The snowtubing park and terrain park openings will be the next areas of focus at Snow Trails.

Snow Trails Winter Resort has been serving Ohio since 1961. There are six chairlifts, two surface conveyor carpet lifts, serving 15 runs, including three terrain parks and the Snowtubing Park, on 60 acres.
