Priming The Slopes

A sign of winter, in Mansfield, Ohio, has prompted Snow Trails Winter Resort to react with full snowmaking power.

Mansfield, OH, As night fell on Saturday, December 2, 2006 so did the snow. The crew is working round-the-clock to cover the sixteen slopes at Snow Trails. With a steady progress, it won't be long before for the slopes will open for the 46^th season at Snow Trails.

Winter has returned to the Midwest and Snow Trails Winter Resort in Mansfield, Ohio. The snow making crew let loose the full power of forty-two snow guns, across the resort. The high power machines worked through the night and into the morning to produce the beginning snow base.

Special events each weekend start with a "Kick-Off Party," December 16^th in the Snowflake Loft. The "Red Ball Jets" will headline the evening's entertainment. Skier's well awaited first tracks, on opening day, will be accompanied by an all new lift ticket named the "8hr. Flex Ticket."

Snow Trails Winter Resort has been serving Ohio since 1961. There are seven lifts serving 13 runs, including three terrain parks on 50 acres. A brand new snowtubing park has been added with its own snowmaking, lighting, and surface lift. The Resort boasts being "Ohio's first and finest" since it has a reputation of many Midwest firsts, including being Ohio's first ski area. The ski season runs through March, weather permitting.
