Spectators Welcome during All Events
It's a fun-filled, activity and event packed
weekend for the whole family! The Winter Carnival is most memorable for the extreme
snow-related sporting events incorporating everything from skis and snowboards
skimming across an icy pool of Mt. Dew colored water during the Slush Cup Race, to the Chippendale and Bikini racers ignoring the cold and
snowy conditions to WOW the crowd.
The Vertical Descent Tubing Park will host Two New Events during this year's Carnival. The first is the "Cardboard Creations Race," where contestants and their creations, constructed of cardboard, paper, and tape only, will go for the most creative design and
furthest distance traveled down a tubing lane (see How to Participate below). The second event will be known as the "Yard Sale Pick-Up," an event for those 15 yrs. old & under, to grab as many apparel items as possible, which will be assigned a point value and placed in the tubing lane for collection during each contestants tubing run. Grab the entire list of Events, the 47th Annual Winter Carnival 2008 Poster, and Guest Costume Contest Flier by downloading your own copy below.
